Hi, my name is Samuel Mohinani. I study Statistics & Data Science and Economics & Accounting at the University of California, Santa Barbara, and I have been trading options systematically with real capital since 2023. This summer I worked as a quantitative developer intern at GFO-X, an institutional crypto derivatives exchange in Hong Kong.
I wanted an excuse to write about markets, take views, and put an opinion on the record, so I started this blog. I was inspired by Brent Donnelly's 50 Trades in 50 Weeks Substack, definitely worth checking out.
My focus is mostly options, macro events, and positioning in an ever changing landscape. I will also share the odd personal note: what I am reading, and what mistakes I am trying not to repeat as I go.
